Who We Are

At the American School of The Hague, students can volunteer globally through the ASH Global Service Learning Program. These programs are year-long with a week of service at the site. The Tanzania Service Trip is a group of twenty-five 11th-grade students. In Tanzania, our student volunteer teams are involved community engagement, global awareness, and citizenship.

These service trips help students to become:

• a learner, preparing for travel to the country and the site;

• a tourist, respectfully putting prior learning about the country in context;

• a guest, working together alongside our local partner in response to a call for help;

• ​an ambassador, inspiring other students to take action on behalf of the same cause.
