Why are we going on this trip?

 We are going on the Tanzania service trip in order to grow and become aware of our abilities as International students. We believe that volunteering and becoming culturally tolerant is the key to becoming a well rounded person and this will be achieved through expanding our knowledge of the world around us in Tanzania. By holding positions in the ASH Global Service Program, we will test our comfort zones and take initiative to visit Tanzania, raise money and items to donate, and learn how to further test our cultural awareness. On this trip we will interact with locals, children and people who may or may not share the same values and beliefs as every one of us, but this is exactly how the ASH students will become more open minded and culturally tolerant. We are excited to share the journey!
